We experienced a period of slow API response rate this morning from 9:30 - 9:45 due to a peak traffic on our campaign product where several larger customers executed campaigns simultaneously.
The slowdown was due to a bottleneck in our embed servers computing template images for emails.
Immediately after identifying the bottleneck we upgraded our compute infrastructure to handle the increased load and everything was operating smoothly again with average API response rates around 50ms.
